Quotes come at us in snippets. The stories behind them are what make them so powerful. Yet the short inspirational quotes are the ones that get carried through generations. Keeping motivational quotes where you can see them reminds you of what you care about.

Positive quotes from women inspiring women are some of the most powerful words. So let’s look at some of these words of wisdom and celebrate these motivational women.

We’re starting with a couple of Ruth Bader Ginsburg quotes. Ginsburg became the second female Supreme Court justice in August 1993. She overcame workplace discrimination in the 60s and became a fighter for women’s rights and gender equality.

“Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.” - Ruth Bader Ginsburg

This reminds us that authentic change happens with small steps. Don’t underestimate the power of small steps.

“Reacting in anger or annoyance will not advance one’s ability to persuade.” - Ruth Bader Ginsburg

This is one of my favorite motivational quotes. Powerful influence does not come from angry reactions. Something everyone should work on every day. Here is another quote on being a leader:

“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” - Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Some of the most encouraging quotes for equality are Angela Davis quotes. Angela Davis grew up in Alabama in “Dynamite Hill”. This was an area notorious for racial conflict. She attended segregated schools and became an activist for civil rights.

“You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.” - Angela Davis

It is easy to get discouraged and stop trying to make a difference. Angela Davis reminds us to keep our actions supportive of change.

Audre Lord quotes are some of the best examples of women inspiring women. She wrote more than 10 books and was a powerful civil rights activist.

“In our work and in our living, we must recognize that difference is a reason for celebration and growth, rather than a reason for destruction.” - Audre Lorde

This is an idea that we believe very strongly in here at Farm Brand. Differences can truly bring people together when they are treated the right way. One more quote for differences:

Michelle Obama said, “Don’t ever make decisions based on fear. Make decisions based on hope and possibility. Makes decisions based on what should happen, not what shouldn’t.”

Eleanor Roosevelt was the U.S. First Lady and she transformed the office. She changed the way Americans viewed women. She was an author, a humanitarian, and a fighter for many social causes. She helped draft the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

“To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

Sheryl Sandberg is an American business executive who serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and the founder of LeanIn.org.

“I believe if we had more women at the table where decisions are made we would make better decisions.” - Sheryl Sandberg
